The Opportunity Community Services Department | Permanent Full-Time Position | Rotational shift schedule-4 days/week-10 hrs/day

Lacombe County is seeking an experienced, full-time Community Peace Officer (CPO) to join our team. This full-time position serves on a rotational basis as the School Resource Officer (SRO), providing awareness and information on current and trending issues within designated Lacombe County schools.

When not assigned to SRO duties, the CPO is responsible for the full scope of Community Peace Officer functions, including the day-to-day enforcement and administration of County bylaws and applicable provincial statutes. The role places strong emphasis on public safety, traffic enforcement, infrastructure protection, and community education.

We’re looking for a community-minded professional who brings sound judgment, strong conflict-diffusion skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with residents, partners and stakeholders. This position works four 10-hour shifts each week, including weekend rotations from May through September.
