The Opportunity

Lacombe County has a great summer opportunity for a responsible and motivated individual for the River Weed Inspector position. The successful candidate will canoe the Blindman, Medicine, and Red Deer rivers, handpicking prohibited noxious and noxious weeds along sensitive areas near the riverbanks. While working outdoors in a scenic river environment, this position is integral to environmental management of these river systems within the County. The approximate term date for this 2 month position is July 6 to August 28, 2026 (40hrs/week)
